Nouveau directeur de la Vocal Academy, le baryton-vedette Thomas Hampson nous convie à un voyage musical à travers l'Amérique de la première moitié du 20e siècle. Un fascinant paysage sonore s'y déploie, mêlant classique et jazz, façonné par de grandes figures musicales, dessiné par un artiste qui maîtrise ce répertoire avec une finesse rare, et s'engage également en sa faveur au travers de sa Fondation Hampsong, créée en 2003, trait d'union culturel entre les peuples et les générations.
