From the very start of her career, she has been a cherished presence at the Menuhin Festival Gstaad. Now, as a resident of the Montreux mountains, she’s practically a neighbour, making her journey to the Festival even more seamless. In 2026, Khatia Buniatishvili will once again take command of the entire Gstaad Festival Tent. The anticipation for her thrilling return couldn’t be higher! As always, she fuses overwhelming expressive power with emotions of breathtaking intensity – whether in the monumental Fantaisie by Robert Schumann or in a poetic Consolation of Franz Liszt. She then invites the audience to dance, as the waltzes of Frédéric Chopin and Liszt unfold in graceful triple time, shimmering with elegance and effortless lightness. A singing, deeply poetic sound world emerges in refined arrangements of lieder by Franz Schubert, before the programme surges toward breathtaking virtuosity – crowned by Liszt’s electrifying Hungarian Rhapsody No. 6 in a dazzling finale.
