With this “duo,” every concert becomes an event in its own right. Iván Fischer and his Budapest Festival Orchestra return with an exciting new programme. For more than forty years, this exceptional ensemble has graced the world’s most renowned stages, radiating a unique sense of musical family and unwavering artistic devotion. Joining them for the evening is the brilliant young pianist Isata Kanneh-Mason – a rising star of the international scene and sister of celebrated cellist Sheku Kanneh-Mason – who will bring Rachmaninov‘s most dazzling piano concerto to life. As part of the concert, the Hungarian maestro will be presented with the “Beethoven Friendship Award” in partnership with the Beethoven-Haus Bonn. This distinction celebrates the enduring values of friendship and highlights its vital role in fostering both musical collaboration and meaningful human connection.
